Hello! This tutorial will guide you on how to downgrade WordPress engine.

  1. Let us downgrade it to 4.4.3. First you need to navigate to Plugins section and disable all of your current site plugins. Then log out.

  2. Now navigate to your root folder via FTP or Cpanel and delete wp-admin and wp-includes folders.

  3. Once you are done, open your new WordPress folder with the older version and make a zip out of its content, apart from the wp-content folder.

  4. Upload the zip file to your root folder and extract the files.

  5. On the next step you need to login to your WordPress theme dashboard and update your database there.

  6. Congratulations! You have successfully downgraded the WordPress engine. Now you can activate your plugins back.
